SPIRITUAL GOALS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

One day my grandson, while visiting me in my art studio, said, "This room is so different from the rest of the house." The room was neat and clean, like the other rooms. But long ago when it was built, I had placed a sign on the wall. It was the first thing that went into that room, and reads:

I can of mine own self do nothing. God, good, guides, guards, and governs.

I felt that these thoughts were what made the difference. The first statement is from John's Gospel in the Bible (5:30). It was made by Christ Jesus. The other statement is a reminder of the wonderful way that God cares for every aspect of our lives. My grandson knows this. He has heard it many times.
