In unity
Putting selfish "me" away
And humbly asking as I pray,
"Let me be one with God today"—
Opens blinded eyes to see
All one with God in unity.
To witness each one unique
Who hand in hand together seek
To do God's will, His word to speak,
Reveals a special brotherhood
All working for each other's good.
In Christ, God's children are all one,
Truth taught by the "beloved Son,"
Who showed the way Love's work is done;
No self-willed plan, just these commands—
"Love God and love your fellowman."
Sarah E. Roberts
