THINK GOD IS NOT HERE? THINK AGAIN
A few times in my life I have questioned God. Oh, not His existence, never any question there. But questioning His action or nonaction at times.
The first time, it was simple. It seemed everyone I loved was getting cancer. My best friend had just passed away from it. I was at a very low point. So, I was sitting in a restaurant waiting for an appointment, staring at my tea. I simply thought in my heart, God I know You are here, but I can't see the proof of Your work in day-to-day life anymore.
As soon as I thought this way, I was sorry, but that was the depth of my grief. I sat ashamed with my head down. I really had so very much to be thankful for, but I couldn't feel any gratitude.
