I first learned about Christian Science when I substituted as the soloist at a church service. At first I did not understand that God was answering my prayers, but after I had studied Christian Science for a few months I realized that I had found the religion for which I had been searching. I began to study it out of curiosity, reading one section of the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly each day.

I threw out the medicine and decided to turn completely to prayer.
