Poisoning reversed
When our oldest daughter was about two years old, she swallowed a full bottle of prescriptive liquid aspirin while we were visiting a neighbor. When I discovered her, she was already unconscious, and the bottle was on the floor beside her.
As I have always relied on God and prayer for healing with perfect results, I felt confident relying on Christian Science treatment alone. I immediately turned to God in prayer. I knew our daughter's true Parent is God. He created her perfect, in His image and likeness, and that likeness could never change. I further reasoned that this child's life was in God. I felt the absolute presence of God and felt such peace that I knew God was in control of the situation.
My grandmother was a Christian Science practitioner. I telephoned her, and I decided to bring the child to her home. As I put the child in the car, she was still unconscious and her body was limp. I was frightened, but throughout the twenty-five-minute drive, I was able to cling to the truth that this child is God's image and likeness.
