Astigmatism corrected and depression conquered
When I began attending the Christian Science church over forty years ago, I could not read the words in the hymnal without glasses. When our first three children were small, I went back to work. I would occasionally forget my glasses, which I needed for typing that included long lists. I would telephone my husband and ask him to bring them, which was a nuisance as I worked in a classified area. I remembered there was no spiritual law that made these glasses (for astigmatism) necessary. Holding in thought promises in the daily Bible Lesson (found in the Christian Science Quarterly), each day I'd try typing without glasses and refusing any sense of strain or self-will. In a few days my eyesight was normal.
In a few days my eyesight was normal.
