Americans Sometimes Think of Thanksgiving Day as their unique holiday. Actually, seven other countries have an official Thanksgiving Day, although they don't necessarily celebrate it at the same times as the November feast in the United States. They include Brazil, Canada, Japan, Korea, Liberia, and Switzerland. And according to the Thanks-Giving Square Web site, the president of Argentina has also recently declared a national Thanksgiving Day.

And what is Thanks-giving Square? It is a 3.5 acre site in downtown Dallas, Texas, designed specifically to honour "the spirit of universal human gratitude to life, and is dedicated to revitalizing the ancient spirit of thanksgiving."

It includes— among other things— exhibits relating to thanksgiving, a meditation garden, and more information about the Square you can visit the Web Site: WWW.thanksgiving.org/html/what/tourofsquare.html
