"Wisdom as a flowing brook"
Proverbs 18:4
Wisdom flows as a little brook,
soaking slowly throughout the sod
and pushing aside a first resistance.
Rolling broadly among the stones,
it wears their pique of self-will;
then deepens, fills ...
and fully floods the mental landscape
to swamp the roots of ignorance,
give buoyancy to right desire,
uplift the shoots of searchful thought ...
that mind and heart, aswirl from error,
might surface—and drink the Word of God.
