"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov. 3:5, 6). This special passage from the Bible has helped me in a lot of situations.

Since childhood, I have been worshiping with my parents and sibling in a nearby Christian Science church, and I attended the Christian Science Sunday School, where I have learned profound things about God and His creation. I have learned that God is All-in-all; that God, Mind, controls everything He has made and cares for me and all mankind. I also learned that God is Principle, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, Love, substance, and intelligence.

Since then, I have had countless blessings and healings through the study and understanding of Christian Science. I would like to share a healing that took place in March 1995. One morning I woke up with a swelling in the upper part of my mouth coupled with severe pain. Immediately, I remembered learning how to pray in the Sunday School and declared to myself one of the truths in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy: "The divine Mind that made man maintains His own image and likeness" (p. 151). Thinking deeper about this passage, I reasoned that divine Mind's maintenance of me, His child, cannot include pain, which is an illusion.
