I have had many occasions over the years to be grateful for Christian Science, and it is now time for me to give thanks for a healing that has been some years in coming. I do not know the medical diagnosis of the trouble, but at times I had great feelings of debilitation in a variety of ways. This is no longer present and I can only express joy at the release from those limitations.

This healing came, not from a great flash of understanding, but through persistent prayer, daily study of the Bible and Science and Health, reading The Christian Science Journal and the Sentinel, and undertaking class instruction. From this prayer and study I learned that as God is absolute, perfect, so man in His image is complete and whole; that illness is a mistaken belief; that one can never fall from purity and wellness; that divine Mind controls and governs man harmoniously; that the correct view of man heals.

As a result of my steadily growing understanding of the perfection of God and man, what had plagued me for many years has disappeared. This must have happened quite some time ago, although I do not know exactly when. What I do know is that at last, with deep gratitude to God and His Christ, there is nothing of this problem left to heal.

Another healing for which I am grateful happened recently. For two days I was sick in bed with influenza. During this time I held to the thought that as I was God's perfect man, my identity was immortal, upright, pure, and thus at no time could I be a sick mortal. On the third day I arose completely well. There was no need for recuperation.

What had plagued me for many years has disappeared.

I am also grateful to know that the divine Mind is ever present and governs all, even in business matters. Some years ago my husband and I wanted to sell the chief part of our business at a time when the country's economy was in a poor state. I prayed knowing that as business is an activity of Mind we would be directed to do what was right. We were about the Father's business of expressing all that was right and good. Chance had no place in the divine economy.

One evening a long-standing customer that we had a good, honest, friendly relationship with, unexpectedly telephoned offering to buy the business if we ever thought of selling. In a matter of weeks the sale was harmoniously completed.

At another time, we had been waiting many months to receive monies due us. I prayed, knowing that God's children lack nothing. I knew that we had an abundance of right ideas to meet all our needs. As there are no limitations in God's kingdom, none could exist for us. We must express unlimited good. Suddenly the outstanding money was paid and we received an advance to cover future orders.

I never cease to give thanks to God for His endless blessings and to Mrs. Eddy for writing Science and Health. It is wonderful to be reaping the harvest of healing through knowing that divine Mind is the only healer in every circumstance.
