From early childhood, I suffered from poor health
From early childhood, I suffered from poor health. When I became an adult, I was unable to conceive children, and a doctor determined that my fallopian tubes were blocked. The prescribed methods I underwent to correct this condition resulted instead in additional complications and left me in much pain.
During this time one of my colleagues, lovingly urged me to try Christian Science. At the time, the whole concept of man, health, holiness, based on spiritual perfection appeared absurd to me. But still I took his advice and attended church services and started reading the Bible Lessons found in the Christian Science Quarterly. Some time later, doctors recommended that I undertake additional surgery. But by this time I had much incentive to rely on Christian Science treatment and I started receiving it from a practitioner. The practitioner asked me to study more about man created in the image and likeness of God and helped me to see my inseparable relation to God, divine Principle. Slowly I began to see something of the nature of the male and female of God's creating, and it gave me a totally new concept of womanhood. I started understanding spiritual identity, and the difficulty gradually subsided. With much gratitude I would like to state that I was healed in about four months. The trouble has never recurred.
With the guidance and study of Christian Science literature, slowly I understood that healings are not miracles, but are based on a perfect divine Principle. I was also free from an asthma condition and no longer experience frequent colds, coughts, and fevers as I used to.
