Dear Sentinel
From children and young people
Dear Sentinel,
I like swimming a lot. But one day after a swimming lesson my eyes were burning and red. My mom and I went home and started to pray. I knew that God is Love, and that I am God's perfect spiritual child. God is everywhere, so I could feel His love and presence with me all the time—even when I was swimming. He didn't send any evil or pain. God is all good, so nothing could hurt me. A little later, was all better.
The next day before my swimming lesson I prayed again. I knew I could never be separated from God, good, so I could never be hurt. From the Bible Lesson* that week, I remembered: "I and my Father are one" (John 10:30). In the water, I remembered that there is no spot where God is not. My eyes didn't hurt at all after class!
