I was searching earnestly for God, and none of the churches...
I was searching earnestly for God, and none of the churches I had attended satisfied my need. I read an article in Life magazine about Mary Baker Eddy, and my heart went out to her for her life and her work.
At this time I was single and living with my parents. One day I met a woman who spoke to me about Christian Science. Later I joined a group of singles, and met an attractive woman who was a Christian Scientist. We fell in love and eventually got married.
One Wednesday evening I attended a Christian Science church service with her, and the testimonies I heard impelled me to pursue this marvelous religion. I realized the meaning of the Scripture "God setteth the solitary in families" (Ps. 68:6).
