Science and Health has always been a guide to my family and me. Whenever there has been a problem, I have seen my parents reach for this book and read some truths from it. This has always been helpful to us.

Some time back there was a growth on the inner side of my lower lip. It was very uncomfortable, and often got in the way when I was eating. When the growth became bigger, my food intake grew less.

I was praying about it, especially with the truth stated on page 463 of Science and Health that "a spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." But nothing seemed to change. I got so fed up that I felt I wanted to have the growth cut off.

Then my parents helped me to see the spiritual significance of that passage. Through our prayers I now understood that I could not be touched by anything other than good, and that what is not a part of God could not be a part of me.

I was immediately healed.
