We are happy to announce to our readers that the cover of the May 23, 1994, issue of the Christian Science Sentinel has won a Bronze Award for the 6th Annual Dimensional Art Directors ... and Illustrators Awards Show, and also an Honorable Mention for Best Cover, Nonprofit, Ozzie Award for Publication Design Excellence. Our Production and Design staff members worked with inspiration on this cover, which helped to convey the spiritual message of the issue's contents. Danis Collett Mutchler is the artist who constructed the paper sculpture of the torch; and Linda Payne-Sylvester photographed the sculpture—projecting light from behind it to enhance the three-dimensional effect.

Are you a sentinel? A sentinel is someone who keeps watch and holds guard. Helping to keep watch over good and guarding against evil—against anything that isn't from God—is the purpose of this magazine, the Christian Science Sentinel. If you have had a healing experience you'd like to share or some spiritual insights that have helped you keep watch over good, write to us at:
