Kyle discovers the truth about lies
What do you do if someone is telling lies about you or someone important to you? That's what Kyle had to think about one day on the playground during recess with his friends. Chris, one of the teammates on his soccer team, started saying unkind things about Kyle's dad. (His dad was the coach.) Kyle knew what his teammate was saying was untrue, but he didn't know what to do. He didn't want anyone believing these things about his dad.
When Kyle went back into the school, he talked to his teacher about what Chris was telling everyone and how it was untrue. His teacher suggested that he try to find out why Chris was saying mean things. Kyle tried to talk to Chris, but the more he tried, the meaner Chris got.
When Kyle got home, he told his mom about what had happened at recess that day. His mom asked him if the things Chris was saying about Dad were true. He immediately answered, "No!"
