Fruitage from focus on Science and Health
In recent months the Church of Christ, Scientist, and students of Christian Science around the world have been renewing their focus on the Christian Science textbook. Meetings have been held in a number of cities, and many letters of fruitage have been coming to The Mother Church as a result of a deeper study of Science and Health.
The meeting focusing on Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, in Seattle, Washington, included the invitation to share the difference this book has made in our lives.
Christian Science was taught and practiced in my childhood home, and I had fine teaching in Sunday School. Nevertheless, as a young adult I was drawn away from Christian Science, and I struggled through many prodigal experiences until finally I wanted my life to end. But the desire to die was completely and permanently lifted through the many assurances of divine Love's care for me found when I again began to study the textbook. Further study led to church membership and class instruction.
