This testimony is an expression of gratitude for the healing...
This testimony is an expression of gratitude for the healing power of our Lord, and for knowledge gained of this healing power. I am a relative neophyte in Christian Science, but have much cause for rejoicing already.
Almost ten years ago a medical doctor diagnosed that I had emphysema. Even if I had to walk just a block, I would have to rest to regain my breath. When cutting the grass with a self-propelled mower, I needed to rest an hour or so between mowing the front and the back yard.
I had been earnestly praying to see the truth of man's God-given wholeness, and to understand "the scientific statement of being" in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which affirms: "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all" (p. 468).
