Over the years I have experienced many blessings and healings...
Over the years I have experienced many blessings and healings as a result of my study of Christian Science, and would like to take this opportunity to relate one of them.
A while ago it became increasingly difficult for me to walk or even stand for any length of time—my legs had become swollen and uncomfortable. After praying for some time with no relief, I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. At the end of our conversation she told me that "there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed" (Luke 12:2). My immediate response to myself was, "That's good, but what does that have to do with me?"
About this same time I was called upon to serve on our county's grand jury for a period of three months. This was a depressing experience, and I would return home at night completely devastated by the images of the lawlessness and the cruelty to man that I'd heard about. I then began to direct my prayer toward overcoming this depression instead of toward healing the physical problem.
