One of the most joyful things in writing this testimony has been deciding which healing, among so many, to share.
When I was young, I had a severe speech impediment that involved stuttering and an inability to pronounce words plainly. This situation prompted both smiles and unkind teasing from others on a constant basis. I felt frustrated, embarrassed, and hurt much of the time, especially when I spoke or read aloud.
My parents were loving and kind to me. They loved God, and made sure their large family learned how to be good and follow a Christian way of life. My mother studied the weekly Bible Lessons from the Christian Science Quarterly daily. Our family had experienced many healings through prayer; I know they expected my complete freedom from the speech difficulty, and prayed earnestly for it.
