I have enjoyed so many testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals, I'd like to share one of my own.
In 1972 I left a large company with job security to become a partner in a smaller business in my hometown. I had prayed earnestly about making the change, as many of my friends thought I was very foolish to leave such a good job to take on such a risky new business. But I felt divinely led to make the change and did so.
Upon arrival, I dug into the new company's books. And I found all kinds of discrepancies. There were evidences of underfinancing, double financing, bad customer relations, past due bills, past due receivables, bad employee attitudes, inadequate parts inventories, and overstocked trade-in equipment. I was nearly overwhelmed. But I had bought out two partners by this time, so I had no other option than to tackle the problems and solve them.
