The value of strong, persistent prayer
If we were to take seriously all the material remedies advertised in the media these days, we might conclude that the only way to keep healthy is to have pills and potions on hand for every eventuality. But many people are looking for a better way to take care of themselves and to maintain their family's health.
When we think of ourselves in merely physical terms, we often become anxious about our well-being. As we catch a clearer glimpse of the spiritual fact Christianity teaches—that the essence of life is something other than flesh and bones, the corporeal sense of oneself—we begin to recognize something of man's real identity as wholly spiritual, derived from Spirit, God, the creator of all.
