I Am deeply grateful for an understanding of Christian Science. My parents heard of this Science right after they were married. Father weighed just seven stone [98 pounds] and was very frail. But through Christian Science he had a healing of gallstones and became strong and fearless.

When my three children were young, and I was also caring for my mother, I was suddenly widowed. This necessitated the family's leaving our farm and finding a new home. I looked at many houses but had to turn to God and ask for guidance. Within a short time I found a small farmlet on the edge of town. A cow was given to us, and with her we were able to raise calves and so pay the rates.

One day a former farmer made a delivery and expressed a desire to help with fence repairs and so on. This helper was able to come every Wednesday to work during the day and sit with the children during the evening so that I could serve at church. Whenever help has been required, I have been able to find it —often unpaid but rewarded through some reciprocal arrangement. All our needs have been taken care of in wonderful ways, and nearly thirty years later I am still enjoying the "added things." As Christ Jesus said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew).
