By my middle twenties I had been divorced twice (the second marriage lasted only a year). After the second marriage failed, it was evident to me that I had to gain a greater understanding of God and man's spiritual relationship to Him. Recognizing this was a turning point. It brought me back to Christian Science and I have never left it.
After my second marriage ended, I went to see a Christian Science practitioner. We had a wonderful visit. What she said helped me face up to things, and I began to rely on God for everything through my practice of Christian Science.
As a result of much prayer and study, I learned of man's innate completeness and my true spiritual nature as God's child. Many times I thought about the Bible passage that states, "Thy Maker is thine husband" (Isaiah). I began turning to God, the source of all good. This study and prayer went on for a number of years.
