The first Christian Science healing I witnessed occurred...
The first Christian Science healing I witnessed occurred many years ago. A son, then seven years old, had had severe earaches all his life. At the time, I was not practicing or studying Christian Science and had always taken the child to a doctor. Yet over the years I had found that medicine did not heal the difficulty; our son was also suffering from an allergic reaction.
One day when our son could not attend school because he had the painful symptoms of another earache, I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner and give Science a try. (Even though my parents were not practicing Christian Scientists, nor had they encouraged me to use this Science, during my growing up years they had sent me to a Christian Science Sunday School, which I loved.)
The practitioner told me she would pray for our son. I explained to the boy what I had done, and he understood, since he had attended a Christian Science Sunday School just as I had done. About an hour later, our son was completely well, and the condition has never returned.
