About ten years ago, a lump on the back of my head began to grow. As a student of Christian Science I began studying this Science more diligently. The basic thing that I learned was to pray more effectively. This involved being definite in affirming the truth of my relationship to God as His perfect, spiritual child, and thus refuting the fears that had been aggressive in my thought. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy states, "Science must go over the whole ground, and dig up every seed of error's sowing."

Instead of ignoring troubles, I began to deal with them daily. As I continued to pray, I saw more errors to be challenged. There was much about past history that needed to be faced and overcome. My spiritual understanding grew and also my ability to give treatment through prayer. I was able to help others in this way.

One evening I felt moisture on the back of my head. Upon closer inspection, I found that a pinpoint opening had appeared on the growth, and it was draining. The place on my head continued to drain for a time. I was soon entirely healed. I am so very grateful for the spiritual growth that eliminated this difficulty completely.
