One Wednesday in the year 1943, I attended my first Christian Science religious service. I didn't understand anything that was read, for the service was in English. But I was convinced that only God could cure me of the great mental confusion I was suffering from. With much devotion, I began to attend these services regularly.

I began to study the weekly Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly in Spanish and devoted myself to it with great perseverance.

I had many experiences in which I overcame fear. I asked God to give me greater spiritual understanding each day in order to gain spiritual strength and to overcome my errors.
