For seventeen years I suffered from insomnia and severe nasal obstructions. Although I took much medicine, I still woke up my neighbors with cries caused by severe headaches. I prayed insistently without achieving lasting results. So I left all religion.
My mother, however, had begun to study Christian Science. She read some of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to me daily, trying to help me and acquaint me with its contents. But I rejected it many times and destroyed the copies of The Herald of Christian Science that she gave me. I remember seeing this book, Science and Health, a thousand times without reading it. My mother insisted, however, so I borrowed it and began reading. In only four days I was healed of the nasal trouble and was sleeping well. I saw that Mrs. Eddy must have had authority from God to write this wonderful work that could make people who are reading it happy and well.
Now I am dedicating myself to sharing Christian Science. I hope to learn more and more about the Holy Bible and Science and Health.
