Christian Science has had a profound influence on my life
Christian Science has had a profound influence on my life. When I left high school and began attending a university, I felt that I needed to make a choice regarding my life—a choice as to whether or not I would try to live my life in accord with the teachings of Christ Jesus. That year, 1987, I went to work at a summer camp and experienced the power of these teachings through my work with young Christian Scientists. Watching seven-year-old boys place their faith and trust in God, and seeing them practice Christian Science, really opened my eyes. Christianity became no longer just something to believe in; I was able to witness and feel it personally.
I took this newfound love of Christian Science to college with me, and I have made it a part of my daily life for the past three years. I have experienced wonderful healings and have found my every need taken care of.
One day I was at a gymnasium, playing basketball, when I injured my ankle. I decided to go to the infirmary and have it checked. They confirmed that it was broken and gave me a removable cast and crutches.
