Through just a brief introduction to Christian Science, I was healed of headaches. This healing took place over twenty years ago, and I continue to be free.
Our family had experienced and accepted headaches as an inevitable part of human life. School, business, family affairs, and other "pressure" situations would very often result in tension and discomfort—whether we liked it or not. And, of course, we didn't like it!
I remember coming home from school sometimes and having to lie down in pain from a headache. Sometimes I would take aspirin for relief. This would often help, but only temporarily. Then I began to think that if, mentally, I took my troubles and imagined putting them off—under the bed or couch where I was lying—I could be free. I made the effort, and this seemed to work; but again the relief was only temporary.
