The Lord of hosts is with you

When I was in the first grade, our school began a new lunch program. Each week a certain student was assigned to a table in the lunchroom to serve as the host or hostess of that table. There were many things to do! The food had to be carried to the table, passed around, and the table cleared. Sometimes there were even fifth- and sixth-graders at the same table!

At the very beginning of the year, one day the teacher wrote the names of the hosts and hostesses of that week. I was surprised to see my name! At lunch-time I was so scared. I went to the lunchroom, and the lunch lady told me which table was mine. I was trying to do everything right when a fifth-grader appeared at my table. He said some things to scare me, and I couldn't think of anything else to do but to go home. So I did.

This was the wrong thing to do. When I got home nobody was there. My neighbor found me and brought me to her house and called my school, and someone came and drove me back to school. Many people had been looking for me.
