Since my last testimony of healing appeared in the August 5, 1972, Sentinel, I have been recording my healings in a notebook so that I will not forget them. There have been quick healings of colds, flu, and burns through realizing God's presence and knowing that God never made discord or disease. Psalm 91 and the following words from a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal have been very helpful in overcoming contagion: "In atmosphere of Love divine, / We live, and move, and breathe."

A deep cut on my right hand was quickly healed after my son helped me through prayer while my daughter-in-law cared for me. The healing was complete and left no scar.

The healing for which I am most grateful occurred after I tripped on a tree root while running in the woods and injured a ligament behind one knee. I prayed, and I studied from the Bible; the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy; and other writings of Mrs. Eddy. I was able to be active, but not with the freedom I usually enjoyed. Walking down steps was extremely painful.
