Words could never express my deep and abiding gratitude...
Words could never express my deep and abiding gratitude for Christian Science and for the wonderful blessings that have come to our family and to all the families in the world that have been healed and benefited by it.
Over twenty-five years ago I became seriously ill and as a result lost my vision. The illness was overcome through the dedicated prayers of a Christian Science practitioner, who never allowed fear to cloud his vision of man's perfect being as truly made in God's likeness. I was still without sight. At first this did not seem so frightening. A beloved relative had come to care for the family, and I was thrilled simply to be alive and well.
After several weeks I could see outlines and forms, yet nothing was seen clearly and any attempt to read resulted in severe headaches. At this point it became necessary for my relative to return to her home in a distant state, and the practitioner had to leave for an overseas lecture tour. Every free moment was then spent in my own heartfelt prayer.
