Church and healing
"Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing."
Christian Scientists, reexamining this statement in Science and Health by their Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, are making greater commitments to the public practice of Christian Science. Over the past months twenty churches have gained a practitioner listed in The Christian Science Journal where there was none before. Modest, but encouraging.
A Christian Science branch church or Society is evidence of the opportunity for Christian healing and redemption with the community. Services, lectures, and Reading Rooms all point to the possibility of Christian healing. A church membership needs to have those willing to practice what is preached.
