It is with gratitude that I relate a healing of a skin difficulty

It is with gratitude that I relate a healing of a skin difficulty. One day two years ago I noticed that one of my eyes was swollen. At first I thought something had bitten me, but then the condition started to spread.

It continued to spread to other parts of my body, and the next morning I called a Christian Science practitioner to help me through prayer. He prayed for me for a few days until the fear had subsided. He also encouraged me to work with the idea of purity. I studied references to purity in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I also spent many hours in study of the Bible and in reading the Christian Science periodicals.

During this time I realized that I had been feeling resentful about the actions of several people. There were nights when I spent quite a few hours in prayer wrestling with these feelings; but when the resentment was overcome with love and forgiveness, the healing began to take place. Eventually I was completely healed. This experience taught me to be more alert in keeping my thought pure.
