When Ronnie runs
When Ronnie is happy, he likes to run and run. At his grandmother's house he runs around outside. He runs past the parrot cage. Omar and Buddy call him. They call their own names. They say "Hi, Omar! Hi, Buddy!
Ronnie calls back to the parrots. He calls, "Hi! Hi!" and runs faster and faster. He goes past the cage where Jerry the ferret lives. Jerry doesn't say anything. His black eyes twinkle. Is he smiling as Ronnie runs past him?
Sometimes Gulliver the dog runs with Ronnie, and barks. Sometimes Grandma runs too. She calls "Hi!" to Omar and Buddy and "Hi!" to Jerry. Ronnie and Grandma and Gulliver are noisy as they run around the yard.
