At one point I had been experiencing periodic headaches
At one point I had been experiencing periodic headaches. The spells were intense enough to keep me from maintaining normal activity at work or home, but they were sporadic and I neglected to pray about the situation.
Finally I woke at four one morning with intense pain that kept me from returning to sleep. I realized it was time to address this problem. I had relied on my parents in the past for prayerful help and guidance in Christian Science; but this seemed like a good opportunity to pray for myself.
I was confident that the weekly Bible Lesson outlined in the Christian Science Quaterly would contain the healing truth I needed. I had been holding to the spiritual fact that there is in reality only one Mind, God, and that Mind is good. I saw that if this is true, then there is no place for a headache. I got out my copies of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and studied diligently. After reading through the lesson and numerous other passages, I had two pages of notes and helpful citations.
