One Saturday I was clearing out my garden
One Saturday I was clearing out my garden. In the process, I stepped into a hole hidden by grass. As I fell to the ground, I heard a loud crack in my ankle. At the same time, many testimonies I had heard at the Wednesday testimony meetings in our branch church flashed through my thought like a fast-forward video. These testimonies gave me the assurance that God is ever present and all-powerful.
As I prayed, I considered carefully this statement in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy: "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man." I was able to get up and complete the outdoor work.
However, as I proceeded to do some errands, I found I could hardly walk. I was in a great deal of pain and felt I needed help. Instead of going home, I went to a nursing facility for Christian Scientists for outpatient care.
