My dad passed on suddenly when I was only eight years of age
My dad passed on suddenly when I was only eight years of age. His passing troubled me greatly. In a confused state of thought, I struggled through my teens and early twenties with shyness, selfishness, and immorality.
Finally, I became deeply disappointed in life and began to turn my thought Godward. A statement in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy describes my situation: "The sharp experiences of belief in the supposititious life of matter, as well as our disappointments and ceaseless woes, turn us like tired children to the arms of divine Love. Then we begin to learn Life in divine Science."
Awakening to a clearer understanding of God as our true Father-Mother and as ever-present Life, I began to see that God is man's indestructible Life.
