Safety in listening to God
At a time when it seems as though no one is safe, there is an answer. It comes from the spiritual intuition we gain as we begin to understand the nature of God and man.
Have you ever felt threatened by crime? Most of us have at one time or another. Walking across a dark parking lot alone, driving through what is reputed to be a high-crime district, or maybe awakening in the middle of the night to hear unfamiliar noises—these can be unsettling experiences, to say the least.
At times like these, there is a source of help we can turn to even if we are alone. At any moment, in any place, under any conditions whatsoever, we can turn to God, who is a loving Father-Mother. Such reliance is not trivial or hopeless, because if we are listening for God's guidance, what we are to do will become clear to us.
The Bible tells of countless individuals who were delivered from life-threatening dangers by living in constant communion with God—by listening fervently for divine guidance and following it faithfully.
