I was trained as a medical nurse before being introduced to...
I was trained as a medical nurse before being introduced to Christian Science. Before then, I had been looking for something that could help me know more of God and my relationship to Him. While I was a student nurse I used to read many articles on religion, but my quest was not satisfied until I was introduced to this wonderful Science by a close friend at a time I will term "the darkest hour." By this I mean a period in which I was feeling great discontent with life.
While watching television one day, we saw an interview of a Christian Science lecturer who was in our country. This prompted my friend to follow up on some communication he had had with The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, some years back. So began our study of Science, which has brought the "dawn" to my life.
One of the many healings I have had was of a smashed finger. On the day of departure to a conference with some colleagues, as I stood near the door of the bus checking to see if all of us were on board, two colleagues hurriedly ran and got on the bus. The last person closed the door, and one of my fingers got locked in. The door was opened and I pulled the finger out.
