For children
Peace—when the elevator closed
A Christian Science Sunday School class was talking about "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." Matt. 5:9. Laura, Nathan, and Skander liked this beatitude because they knew what it meant right away. (Their new teacher was Skander's mom, and she had planned that they would use the next year of classes to think about the Beatitudes together.)
"A peacemaker doesn't fight," said Nathan. He had proved this by being calm when other kids bugged him or took away his toys.
"I can be a peacemaker in my house by being quiet when people are sleeping," said Laura.
