This is an expression of joy and gratitude for the healing of a need to wear eyeglasses that has occurred since I began to study Christian Science a few years ago.
When I was a teen, my eyes were examined and corrective lenses prescribed; I began wearing glasses. Regular examinations were given and changes in the strength of the lenses were made periodically. Eventually I wore bifocals, and there was a time when trifocals were recommended.
After I became a student of Christian Science, I began to see that true vision is not subject to imperfection. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy states: "Sight, hearing, all the spiritual senses of man, are eternal. They cannot be lost." Perceiving sight as spiritual and eternal, I realized that I could demonstrate perfect vision. My treatment was a simple, silent knowing that my sight was perfect because it was God-given. I thought about such concepts as perception and clarity. And as time passed, it was evident to me that my vision was improving.
