It is time to share some healings experienced in our family
It is time to share some healings experienced in our family. These were accomplished through our study of the Bible and the teachings of Christian Science and through scientific prayer.
The delivery of our first child was by Caesarean section. The doctor believed this was necessary in part because of my bone structure. I came out of this trying and difficult experience with many fears and doubts. I concluded willfully that I would never have any more children.
I began anew an earnest study of Christian Science, and, as our child grew, so did my understanding and practice of what I was learning. I would often ponder an article in Miscellaneous Writings by Mrs. Eddy entitled "The New Birth." Especially meaningful was the statement "The new birth is not the work of a moment. It begins with moments, and goes on with years; moments of surrender to God, of childlike trust and joyful adoption of good; moments of self-abnegation, self-consecration, heaven-born hope, and spiritual love."
