Here comes the bus
When Jamie started kindergarten, he liked his new friends. He liked learning about words and numbers. But one thing Jamie liked best was riding on the big yellow school bus.
Each day after lunch Jamie and Mommy waited by their mail-box for the bus. Jamie knew when the bus was coming up the hill and around the corner because he could hear it.
The brakes squeaked and squealed when the bus stopped to pick up Lee. Jamie's stop was the next one. "Here comes the bus—I hear it, I hear it," Jamie would say.
