Christian Science has always been a way of life for me, and I'm very grateful for it. My family and I have had healings of influenza, sore throats, ear and eye infections, burns, lacerations, stomach disorders, allergies, malaligned teeth, and discordant relationships. There are many other healings too numerous to mention. The gratitude I feel is boundless!
One day our eleven-year-old son became ill. He and I prayed together, acknowledging his true identity as God's perfect, spiritual offspring. We knew that in reality he could not be touched by fear or disease.
My husband, who is not a Christian Scientist, asked that our son be examined by a doctor. The doctor diagnosed pneumonia and suggested that our son be hospitalized. However, my husband and I agreed that we would return home and continue Christian Science treatment for the boy. We agreed to go back and have our son checked in several days. When we returned, the doctor examined him; then he turned to me with a smile and said, "This is a miracle! He's completely well!" Our son returned to school the next day and was able to enjoy downhill skiing several days later.
