When our son was about eight years old, he fell and hurt his arm

When our son was about eight years old, he fell and hurt his arm. The evidence pointed to a possible break at the elbow. I telephoned a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray with us.

The child felt fine during the day, but he was uncomfortable at night. When he woke in the night I would pray with him and he would soon fall asleep. After three days the arm was normal, and the boy asked for the sling to be removed. At that point a slight difficulty in bending and straightening the elbow remained, but through continued prayer the difficulty was soon corrected.

Several years later this son broke his wrist (of the same arm) during a sporting activity. At his sports instructor's direction he was taken to a hospital, where the bones were set and a plaster cast was put on. When the plaster was removed several weeks later (the healing was remarkably quick), the orthopedic surgeon in charge, while examining the X-rays taken, commented on a perfectly set fracture of the elbow. What conclusive evidence of the earlier healing!
