... Amos, Hosea, Isaiah, and Micah.... Time and again they touch the very heart of the matter—the way in which men behave toward each other and the way in which they worship God; and all of these prophets can see that those two things are inseparable. They are thus, as it were, clearing the ground for the revolutionary teaching that was to come with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
