Catch the big wave!
We can trust the power of God to carry us forward to greater spiritual progress.
Have you ever watched an experienced ocean surfer? He sits astride his surfboard waiting for the big wave. When it comes he catches the wave, stands up on his board, and rides it all the way. The sea's mighty power behind the board carries him shoreward.
I have often thought about this in connection with prayer. It is good to pray, to commune with God, almighty Spirit, early in the morning. We can look to God for the day's spiritual nourishment. As the Psalmist puts it, "In the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up." Ps. 5:3.
We look up to intelligent divine Mind and listen for God's constant impartations to us. These are infinite ideas from supreme Principle that come to us when we are receptive to God's guidance.
