"As it is in heaven"
Matthew 6:10
Why not
live each day
as if it were
our first day in heaven
rather than
(as some counsel)
our last one on earth?
What is our
hope of heaven?
Joy
without cloud of sorrow.
Harmony
so total
so transparent
that it is inconceivable
anything
could disturb it.
The opportunity
to thank and praise our God
without nagging
earth-doubts
earth-fears
earth-cares.
Is it so hard
to know these things
at this very moment?
Resolutely
let us render to earth
the things that are earth's—
to heaven the things
that are heaven's.
And so
choose
where we are
this day!
